Getting the Specs Right

What it’s Made Of
We use high-transmittance fused quartz. Why? Because regular glass blocks UV-C. Quartz lets it fly right through. And if your specific project needs a different peak wavelength, we can use doped quartz to shift things around. Then there are the connectors. This is where most lamps fail. A loose fit leads to arcing, which eats away at the socket and kills the lamp way too early. We offer a bunch of different pins and bases so you get a snug, airtight seal every single time.
